RoboSteel Commissions…………………………………………………..

RoboSteel use welding and recycled materials as a medium of expressions as well as a new understanding of, and respect for the role of materials and processes. RoboSteel would like the viewer of our sculptures to experience the form, and be able to describe the sculpture in other ways than just what the sculpture represents (depicts). We love nothing more than listening to crowds of people looking in amazement at our large sculptures and pointing out the pieces that they recognise.

Larger commissions are better for RoboSteel than small ones because it is easier to get detail in a larger piece - also challenging ones where RoboSteel can think creatively. Solving problems including that of function and appropriateness are (as well as aesthetics) important to RoboSteel and we like nothing more than a challenge (that’s what makes life interesting for us) Usually RoboSteel will have a discussion with a client and find out why the sculpture is being considered and where it is going to be placed.
